This Privacy Policy explains how Hynds AI ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the Privacy Panes application and the privacypanes.com website (together, the "Service"). We designed Privacy Panes to be privacy-first: the core product processes your screen entirely on your own device.

1. The short version

• Your screen content never leaves your device. Privacy Panes captures and frosts your screen locally. We do not see, transmit, or store what is on your screen.
• We collect only the minimal information needed to sell licenses, activate the software, and provide support.
• We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information we process

• Purchase & billing data: When you purchase a license, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your name, email, and payment details. We receive your email and a transaction identifier — never your full card number.
• License activation data: To enforce licensing, the app sends a license key and a hardware identifier (a hashed machine ID) to our license server over HTTPS. This does not include any screen content.
• Support communications: If you email us, we retain that correspondence to help you.
• Website analytics (if enabled): Basic, aggregate usage statistics for the website may be collected. This is described here if and when enabled.

3. What we do NOT collect

We do not capture, upload, view, or store screenshots, screen recordings, or any content displayed on your screen. Privacy Panes contains no screen-content telemetry.

4. How we use information

• To provide, activate, and maintain your license.
• To process one-time payments (via Stripe).
• To provide customer support and important service notices.
• To comply with legal obligations.

5. Payment processing

Payments are handled by Stripe, Inc. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

6. Data sharing

We share information only with service providers necessary to operate the Service (such as Stripe for payments and our hosting/email providers), or where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data retention

We retain account, license, and billing records for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your personal data as described below.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email [email protected].

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including HTTPS for all license and billing traffic, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
